Signal Scholarships


Introduction: To help facilitate college path in technology, marketing, and/or entrepreneurship, Signal is pleased to offer two undergraduate students in these fields a Signal Scholarships prize.
Value: The selected winner will receive a one-time $1,500 educational scholarship (runner-up will receive a $500 award) to be applied to qualified expenses, including undergraduate tuition, fees, books and on-campus room and board for the  next academic year.

    Eligibility:

      • The recipient must be actively enrolled full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior for the next semester and for the entire academic year without interruption, barring illness, emergency or military service. It is the recipient’s responsibility to verify receipt of funds with their designated institution and notify Signal.
      • Applicant must have a cumulative college grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale and be enrolled full-time at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in the United States for Fall.
      • Applicant must use the scholarship toward undergraduate program (i.e. Graduate programs not eligible).
      • Applicants must be studying or planning to study the fields of technology, marketing, and/or entrepreneurship.
      • If the applicant or the applicant’s parent/legal guardian is employed by Signal at the time of award, the student is not eligible for the scholarship. Eligibility of finalists will be verified before winners are selected.
      • To apply for the scholarship, applicant must be a student currently enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college or university,  recognized by the U.S. Department of Education,  in the United States.

        Introduction:  Queensland University of Technology, Australia, invites application from Sri Lanka students , to fill competitive positions (Sri Lankan students Merit Plus Scholarship).

        Introduction: The SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships and Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS) Doctoral Scholarships (Canada Graduate Scholarships Program) aim to develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of scholarly achievement in undergraduate and graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities.

        $35,000 per year for 36 months.

        Eligibility

        To qualify for the Fellowships candidate must:
        • be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
        • be applying for support to pursue your first PhD (or equivalent);

        • not have already received a scholarship or fellowship from SSHRC, NSERC or CIHR to undertake or complete a doctoral degree or combined MA/PhD;

        • be international students entering university directly from secondary school and eligible to study in Canada on a Canadian study permit. They must also demonstrate superior academic achievement ('A' average or equivalent standing) and meet UBC’s other competitive admission requirements.
